Barcelona, the city of Gaudì
Barcelona is located on the eastern side of Spain, right by the coast
and near the border of France. The city has 3 million inhabitants and is
economically the most active city in Spain, Madrid included. Famous throughout
the world for the cathedral "La Segrada Familia" (The holy family), a
lifework started by Antony Gaudì more than 100 years ago,
and still
in construction stage; for Park Güell, also by Gaudì, and for
La Rambla, this amazing street that stretches from the middle of the city and
all the way down to the harbour - Barcelona is simply amazing, and those who have been
keep wanting to go back.
Barcelona is one of these cities that "has everything"; nice weather, great
attractions, great food, wine, and entertainment. The shopping is great,
especially in the labyrinthic streets of the gothic part of town (from
Plaza Catalunya and down to the harbour, on the northern side of La
Rambla.) The city has some great Jazz bars, and some amazing night-clubs
if you are able to find them. Chances are you'll stumble over one one
night, have a great time and then are unable to find the place ever
again. But nevermind, there are so many others to choose from! The
new harbour area, rebuilt for the Summer Olympics in Barcelona 1992,
is hoast to a quantity of discos and nightclubs, and this is also
where you find the beaches of Barcelona. Take a stroll up
La Rambla and then branch out to either of its sides - there are some great
little tapas bars hidden in the narrowest streets, making every day
a new adventure. And of course everyone who visits Barcelona has to do
a round visiting the houses of Gaudì, as well as climb the
stairs of the towers of La Segrada Familia. It really is an amazing
experience!

Our Spanish school in Barcelona is one of the most populars Spanish schools
we have. As a result, the school has had to aquire new buildings many
times to be able to cater for the large demand, and recently has finished
the construction of a brand new shcool that enables all our students to be
under the same roof. The school is centrally located, about time minutes'
walk from Plaza Catalunya, and is new, bright and fully equipped. The teachers
are all professional, highly qualified and dedicated, and we have had a lot
of positive feedback from our students visiting this school. The school arranges
many excursions and there are a lot of extra-curricular activities for the students
at this school. The student flats are spread around town, but always
within easy access to the school, either by foot or by public transport.
Barcelona has a good bus-network, and also a smooth-running metro
(underground), making it easy to get around.

Airport pick-up and transportation services
For Barcelona we offer transport pick-up and/or return from the El Prat airport
in Barcelona, for a fee of €55 (or €40 per person for two or more) one way.
We also offer pick-up and return services from the nearby bus and train
stations (prices depend on which train or bus station you arrive at). This
is a 24h service all year round.
NB! There is a €20 supplement for pick-up or return services between the
hours of 24.00 and 07.00 in the morning.
